This past week...

Hey all!

I decided too make a post on what I have been doing lately. The past two weeks have been getting increasingly hectic with FIRST, school, and a new job.

FIRST has once again started and once again consumed me to such a level that Adam begins wondering if he knows the real me anymore... Last year marked my last year as an official student in any of the FIRST programs. This year brings new challenges. Mentoring at many levels. This year M.A.Y.H.E.M. inc. (Ye,s it is an actual organization), has two FIRST Lego League teams this year, Mindstorms Mayhem and More Mayhem. In addition to this, The FIRST Robotics Competition team Mechanical Mayhem has started weekly meetings as well. So this means I am involved in three FIRST Teams asof now. I also heard that I might have the opportunity to help out the Milford Boys & Girls Club with a new team. Plus Come January, I hope to do some work on the Alvirne HS FRC team, since they are hosted by My College, DWC. This and I want to do some major revisions to the MAYHEM related websites, plus start a FLL resource site. Enough here...

School. School has been going well. My four classes, Writing, Calculus, Intro to Programming, and Macroeconomics are going well. I have gotten good grades in all the tests though there is some room for improvement. I also ran for a slot in the school senate, but failed. mostly due to the fact I did little in the way of campaigning though. I plan to try again next year. I also joined the yearbook club, with the intentions of taking over the main functions next year since the current main editor/ etc. is graduation this year. I am also a member of the gaming guild, a club that organizes games (computer, board, community) for the campus. I played Elimination (AKA Assassin, but they couldn't call it that...). I was eliminated the very first moment I possibly could have and by a good friend too. So that is most of school.

Work. I have been working on anumber of websites recently. None of which are done obviously. I am working on a site for Strikeback Dynamic Defense Systems and SKYE Business Solutions. I have also started work on a site for a local jazz artist, who is also having me do a site for their non-profit jazz appreciation organization, and events. Topping it all off I started working on the DWC Student Web team. So yeah work is kinda busy...

This is probably the busiest I have ever been, but I probably wouldnot want it any other way. Oh BTW I am volunteering at the Aviation Heritage Festival at DWC/Boire Airfeild in Nashua Saturday. Come down and visit me. I have the morning off, but I will be there as a photographer for the year book. After that I am working on parking duty from 12-5:30. So come on down and visit. It is only 15$ per adult and there will be air shows, art exhibits, flight sims, WWII flight experts, and plane rides(after a donation I think) . Plus I will be there!!!!

More info about the AHF here. click the menu items at the top for more info like what plane will be there and other useful info.

I have typed enough, and plugged for my school enough, so bye!

A Quick Design Update

First of all I wanted to let everyone know that I have been working to integrate my blogger blog into the plethora of Xanga Blogs.
  1. I created a redirect from my Xanga site to push viewers to this site automatically.
  2. I joinded the FCC-Friends Blogring and integrated the ring controls into my Blogger blog (see right panel)
  3. I changed the way commenting works to make it more like Xanga
  4. Lastly I am changing the layout and design (more detail below)
If the layout and design front I am creating a custom layout for my site. main features it will include:
  • The column will be on the LEFT not right
  • The post text area will be fluid (meaning it will expand with the browser width)
  • Personalization by yours truly!
  • And so much more...
There is a quick update on the goings on here at my blog. I also am working on getting a better Username that will last me a good long time. Any suggestions would be great!
