VBS adventures and Laptop Performance review...

Well folks, I figured out how to squeeze the performance out of my laptop.

It can run Battlefield 2 with little difficulty at 1400x1050 with all the graphics set to high except textures and lighting (currently at medium simce I haven't tested them on high yet) and 4x anti-aliasing. Not bad at all considering it is a laptop! Imagine that, you pay many dollars you get alotta computer (not always the case, haha)!

So that is the update on the computer front. Papa is home now, and doing well. After a few days in the hospital and several tests, the doctors determined that his heart sustained minimal damage. Good news, unfortunetly he missed the family reunion he was looking forward to and the hospital stay exhausted him.

I stayed home from work on Thursday, since I wasn't feeling well, and today my boss told me we weren't working. Since this was the case, I decided to go help Adam with waterday at VBS. it was mostly wet and mostly fun. I didn't do a whole lot, but hey, I was given no direction (or at least not that I would admit...)

New Laptop!!!

It is a time of desolation, chaos, and uncertainty. Brother pitted against brother; babies havin' babies. Then one day, from the right side of the screen, {Strong Bad walks on from the right, carrying the folded-up Lappy.} came a man. {He sits down at the desk and places the Lappy on it.} A man with a plastic rectangle... Well folks, my new laptop arrived yesterday. I apologizefor not posting about it as soon as I got it, but you have to understand that I got it in the evening, had dinner, then basically went straight to the Dopson's to try to fix some computer issues (none of which I fixed!! argh...). when I got home I basically went straight to bed since it was late, I wasn't feeling well, and I had to work this morning. I ended up leaving work early because I wasn't feeling well.

Now about this laptop... It is so very awesome! You got the specs earlier (you know 2MB harddrive, 512kb Ram, 486 CPU... oh wait... thats Strongbad's Lappy!) I haven't had alot of time to play with it or get things set up, but when I have, you will surely get the info on how awesome it runs. So until I get settled with my new laptop you will have to settle with this post... (Don't worry it won't be long...)
