Adam, The Cape, and Drive-in Movies... [UPDATED]

Read through to the end of the post for an update and a surprise!

OK, So I neglected to update you all on the fact that Adam is back safely. Most of you know this and have already seen/talked to him. I went down with the family to pick him (and his parents) up at the airport. It was a great moment in time. We then proceeded to spend the rest of the day doing random things together like put his rims on his car, drive around in his car (he missed driving alot), and playing airsoft. After this joyous reunion, we proceeded to plan our venture to the Cape. This esentially consisted of buying junk food and renting movies.

Sunday night we went down to the Cape. The trip down was uneventful. I didn't get much sleep down at the Cape, but it is all good. Though both Adam and I pretty-much loafed around, I tended to try to keep busy. I don't know what it is, but I I really like the views and the breezes down there. I went down to the beach 5-6 times. On the last two mornings I went down by myself when I got up (though I was joined by company after I got there on both occasions). I had a truly great time doing mostly nothing. There were bonfires and fireworks on the beaches on the 3rd, my birthday. I hope to get some photos in here soon, I should get a photo gallery going on my server. There are some pretty nice photos. If you want to see the and I haven't gotten a photo gallery up yet, let me know I will show you. The drive home from the Cape was fun. We left on time, but ended up taking a wrong turn making us drive through Boston, up 93, and over 101 to get to my house instead of the normal route. So that was fun. I did get home in time to get ready for an eight hour shift at work and made it on time.

Fast-forward past the two normal days and you get to the fun stuff. Friday morning and afternoon were boring until I left to go home from work. I managed to blow-out not one, but TWO tires. Needless to say, I only had one spare. In addition to this annoyance, I had lent my jack to a guy at work and I forgot to bring it back to my car after he returned it. There I was, one spare, two blown tires, and tool-less. The rest of the story is your basic tire blow-out story: police cars, orange shirts, 10 people involved in fixing the blow-outs, and driving on rims. After I had this drama completed it was time for the somewhat last-minute Drive-in movie Ben and I planned. Ben, Nathan, Brittany, Adam, Bridget and I met at Shaws in Milford then proceeded to the Drive-in. We parked, settled in and watched our movies, but about midway through the second feature, A high-pitched tone started, indicating (too late) that the battery was dead. Ben obviously got upset by this, but over-all he handled the situation quite well. He ended up going to the concession stand and they hooked him up with a battery charger. After that we were fine. Oh, It was Ben's van and Ben isn't allowe dto drive after 1am. What to do? Have Chris drive! Lots of waitng and careful driving got us home safely. Ben and I had such a great Friday, that we decided that we will have to do this all again, though probably without the tire blow-outs and battery dying episodes. Bug me and I might get a photo gallery up...

Photos can now be seen at my new photo gallery section! (you can comment and add your own photos if you register, but you don't have to register to view the photos)

Bridget and J won't be doing it again as Mom reamed them pretty badly for being out so late
