About this whole college thing...

Hey folks! I ran into some free time this afternoon so I decided to do an update.

So some of you probably missed me at Church this morning. Yes, I was at school. There were information sessions that were required so I had to go. I found them informative, but they didn't seem necessary to me. Also I won't be at evening service tonight either. I have required sessions starting at 7 going till 11. After the info sessions, they had the DWC Olympics. They were scheduled from 1-4, but went from 1-2. At 4:30 I will be having dinner with the Hinkles at the Common Thread here on campus. They are coming mostly because I am here, but also because they were invited to an alumni/supporter dinner designed to meet the new president.

That reminds me. Everytime I turn around I find that there is another new faculty member. So far the president, the student activities director, and my advisor have all joined the college in the last 6 weeks. I am sure there are more.

So yeah, the whole college thing is working out ok. I am sure it will get better at the year progresses. It has been hard for me to get to meet people because during the free time most people hang in the dorms, and the Common Thread (commuter central) has been closed most of the weekend.
