A Quick Design Update

First of all I wanted to let everyone know that I have been working to integrate my blogger blog into the plethora of Xanga Blogs.
  1. I created a redirect from my Xanga site to push viewers to this site automatically.
  2. I joinded the FCC-Friends Blogring and integrated the ring controls into my Blogger blog (see right panel)
  3. I changed the way commenting works to make it more like Xanga
  4. Lastly I am changing the layout and design (more detail below)
If the layout and design front I am creating a custom layout for my site. main features it will include:
  • The column will be on the LEFT not right
  • The post text area will be fluid (meaning it will expand with the browser width)
  • Personalization by yours truly!
  • And so much more...
There is a quick update on the goings on here at my blog. I also am working on getting a better Username that will last me a good long time. Any suggestions would be great!

Wouldn't it just be easier to get a Xanga? Oh wait, that wouldn't present a challenge.

I am partially doing it for the challenge, partially to be different, and partially because I want to be able to have a custom layout and design.

In the end though, it really boils down to the fact that I really just don't like Xanga!

Uh huh. Then why are you trying to be like Xanga?

I am not rtying to be like Xanga. I am integrating Xanga into Blogger...

The difference is that I am not trying to make my Blogger blog into a psuedo-Xanga blog, but rather incorporate features like the Blogring, so that my friends who mostly use Xanga, feel more comfortable in my blog.

anonymous,

my and all other Blogger blogs incorporate a feature called RSS Feeds. Depending on what you use for a browser and/or email client you can subscribe to the RSS feed. To subscribe it depends on the program. If you want me to I can post details for some common programs later.
