Whoops! (and Other News...)
I guess I haven't updated in a while. two holidays have come and gone since my last update. oh well. The biggest reason for this is because the FIRST build seaon is in full swing. Some of you may know that the kick-off for FIRST robotics was last Saturday. This year's challenge is "Aim High." It doesn't really lend itself to describing in words only. Though in its most base form I suppose it could be described as a ball shooting game. 2 Alliances of 3 each have a series of rounds in which they are defending their goals or trying to score on the opponent's goals. The goals are in an isosceles triangle shape one at each end of the field. each triangle consists of one big goal in the center eight feet from the floor and two in the corners a few inches from the floor with ramps. At the end of a match robots can score more points by being on one of two platforms before the clock runs out. These platforms are beneath the center goal and inbetween the corner goals.
